Well after loosing my job here in NY i decided i will be saying bye to the city and moving to North Carolina. I really can’t do another winter here, rent is crazy and when i immigrated here from the Dominican Republic i never felt like i belonged.
This is car related because i bought a 2015 Mazda 6 i touring. I got a really good deal on it through a subaru dealership.

Really i have a motorcycle this is exciting news. What mountain roads would that be? Are you from there?

Tail of the Dragon for sure! It’s roughly...4.3 hours west...n ot the best distance but within a weekend’s trip for a famous road (and less populated roads around it) ! There’s Highway 421, “The Snake”, that’s about 2 hours from you and there’re tons of local mountains near Boone, NC and the Cherokee National Forest.

Fellow n y to nc transplant. You’ll like it. Winston is not bad but def go out and explore Raleigh and it’s surrounding areas. I have a work friend that immigrated from DR to NYC and now lives here in th e Raleigh area. H e and his family loves it says he will never move bac k to either. Lots of job opportunities here's. 226A near Little Switzerland (just east of Asheville) is supposed to be great. I still need to make a point of making the trip from the Charlotte area.

Thank you for your w ords of encouragement really need them right now all is going to be so new to me. Everybody i spoke to said they loved the move i also liked greensboro.

Awesome i am saving this once i get settled in i am def checking it out. Right now i am doing a soft move just bringing my clothes and my wife and kid are staying behind with the rest of my stuff until i settle into a place.

It very different culture from NYC, but that would be true for many places. As long as you are open to that, you'll be okay.
